This book began as an exercise in creativity. I was impressed by the fact that the best sellers of Kindle books in Brazil are almost always historical novels. I formed a story within the characteristics of the genre (which generated the hugely successful series,outlander). I thought of a very local story, with scenes from my neighborhood. I did a lot of historical research to lend credibility to the plot. And, of course, I left the way open for a second volume. It was one of the great suggestions made by Regiane Moreira, my cousin and editor with a lot of experience in historical novels.
