Even before being hired by Editora Abril, in 1997, director Paulo Nogueira invited me to write a column for the magazineinfo. I found it strange. That was the most important technology magazine in Brazil. Next to your staff, I was a layman. But Paul insisted. I said that my role should be to deflect the technicalities and explore the human side of the technological experience. Result: the column remained in the magazine for 18 years. My challenge was to be creative and surprising in a basically technical magazine.
