For more than a decade I wrote a column for Placar magazine called Os Mortos Vivos do Futebol. The idea was from the director of publisher Abril at the time, Paulo Nogueira: writing  short biographies of famous players who have passed away. I discovered that I liked to write obituaries. Although not exactly a football expert, the column was successful among readers for its dramatic and passionate tone. I put together a few dozen columns to write the book of the same name. First it was published by the publisher Livros de Futebol, owned by César Oliveira. The following year I re-released the book through Amazon/Kindle.
